Lenny Hannigan  has more than 30 years of management and leadership experience and brings a unique view to AlignHR. To be successful as a general manager for a $32M telecommunications system with hands-on oversight for 12 different functional areas, including human resources, Lenny relied heavily on his analytical aptitude to make the complex manageable. That analytical aptitude has benefited AlignHR as Lenny played a key role in the compilation, data synthesis and analysis for several wage & benefits surveys, employee opinion surveys, and 360 Peer Review surveys, as well as compensation reviews and staffing analysis for various clients, boards, and associations.

Lenny also has extensive experience in strategic planning, including writing business plans that attracted multi-million-dollar infrastructure investments into north central West Virginia, serving as project lead for new-technology launches, designing and implementing technical solutions for small workforces.  As past president of the West Virginia Telecommunications Association, he helped WV based telecommunications companies navigate regulatory changes and lobbied Capitol Hill as a representative of the NCTA.  Going back to his tenure as a credit department manager for a national bank in Clarksburg, WV, and president of the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce’s Partnerships in Education program, and past chair of Leadership Harrison, Lenny enjoyed helping a variety of businesses.

Having a passion for working with others, Lenny began facilitating leadership seminars, primarily for the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce in 2000. He also facilitated sessions for West Virginia University Extension Office's Community Institute (CDI-East). Lenny served as guest lecturer for West Virginia College of Business and Economics and has taught classes at Fairmont State University and Salem Teikyo University. He began serving as a graduate assistant (now called coaching assistant) for the Dale Carnegie Course© in 1993.  Lenny's passion for helping others learn or improve leadership skills and techniques stems from studying Organizational Leadership Development at Wheeling Jesuit University, and from more than 15 years of continual development related to leadership.  He is life-long member of Leadership West Virginia.

Some people know Lenny for his musical abilities – he began playing big-band-jazz with a semi-professional status at age 15, served 15 years as a part-time director of music for two local churches; and he continues serving on his church’s worship team, as well as playing big-band jazz with the Brass, Rhythm, and Sax Orchestra in North Central West Virginia. Lenny has five children and 10 grandchildren.
