AlignHR has been working diligently to create a Professional Development Division, which includes workshops and training that are practical, engaging and specific to the needs and challenges of Managers and Supervisors. It was one of our goals at AlignHR to create an experience that had a lasting impact, through the application of the tools and knowledge learned in the workshop. Moving beyond providing an “off the shelf” or check the box exercise towards teaching people to tweak things they are already doing to make them more effective in their roles and to impact the folks they work alongside in positive sustainable results.
Our effort was realized on Thursday July 31st, when we held our first Supervisory Series which focused on real life workplace issues and provided opportunities for skill application and in the moment coaching. Each module focused on a key area of supervision, which included a knowledge portion where topics were defined, best practices introduced and theoretical concepts shared, interactive discussion and activities that enabled participants to apply their learning to specific opportunities on their team by defining and setting goals and identifying barriers that would getin the way.
In a commitment to ensuring we work practically and efficiently to meet each of our clients unique set of challenges and budget and provide opportunity for skill application and learning beyondthe training, AlignHR also offers one-to-one coaching support for continued skill application. The Supervisory Series will be offered again on August 12th at the Holiday Inn and Suites, South Charleston. More sessions will be taking place in the new AlignHR training facility in Bridgeport, WV in the near future. So you might wonder what else AlignHR has planned for the near future.
There is a session scheduled in Charleston on “Building High Impact Relationships”; two of AlignHR’s team are presenting at the upcoming North Central Young Leaders conference in September in Bridgeport, WV; in October their Wheeling office will be presenting a session on “Inspiring Your Workforce" which will be held at Oglebay Resort; and AlignHR will host their annual HR conference for two days in May 2015.
