Jack Gilmore has partnered with Bernie Deem and Zach Abraham of AlignHR, LLC to create AlignHR Texas, LLC. Jack will help expand AlignHR’s market into the Southwest region of the United States. Located in Houston, Jack will serve as Principal and Senior HR Advisor for AlignHR Texas, LLC and will provide human resource services throughout the state of Texas along with other states, supporting AlignHR clients.
Jack grew-up in Princeton, West Virginia. His dad was a small business owner and his mom was a secretary in the Mercer County School system. He attended West Virginia University and graduated with a BS in Business Administration and a MS in Industrial & Labor Relations. While at WVU, Jack was President of the Industrial Relations Student Association, VP of the WVU chapter of SHRM and was inducted into Mountain Honorary.
He began his career with Consol Energy, working during the summers as an Intern in the Bluefield, Virginia area. After graduating from WVU, he was hired with Consol Energy as a Supervisor of Industrial & Employee Relations for various mining facilities in the Morgantown, West Virginia area. Jack later worked 2 years for Arch Coal in Logan, West Virginia. Jack then spent 17 years with GE (General Electric) in various Human Resource Leadership positions at large manufacturing facilities and business corporate headquarters. His GE career spanned positions in Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Connecticut, Virginia and South Carolina. He moved to Houston in 2008, to lead the global manufacturing integration of GE’s purchase of Vetco Gray, an Oil & Gas Company. Jack also worked in Houston for VAM-USA, a subsidiary of Vallourec, for 8 years as the Director of Human Resources.
In January 2020, Jack launched his own consulting business, Pinnacle HR Services, but soon thereafter, he decided to partner with AlignHR to lead the new affiliated division. Jack met Zach through WVU Connect, an alumni technology platform sponsored by the WVU Alumni Association.
Jack has experience in all areas of HR including: Career Management, Coaching, Employee Retention and Surveys, Reward and Recognition, Organizational Development, Outplacement, Recruiting, Training and Development, Union Relations and Negotiations and Positive Employee Processes. He also has led initiatives to help organizations deal with COVID-19 and the changing landscape of work environments in 2020.
Jack is a member of BNI and NIA, in The Woodlands, Texas. He is also a member of The Woodlands Chambers of Commerce and The Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife have 4 children (including one married daughter and a son-in-law) who reside in Houston, TX and another son who resides in Kansas City, They love to drive and stay in Buena Vista, Colorado and enjoy seeing the fifteen 14,000 foot peaks (more than anywhere else in Colorado) in the Sawatch Mountain Range.
