Is AlignHR a PEO (Professional Employer Organization)?

The short answer is NO. AlignHR does not hire any of your employees and put them on our payroll. We are here to help you save time, effort, and money by either allowing you to outsource your human resource function or co-source it with us, meaning that we work with your established team. A professional employer organization (PEO) is a firm that provides a service under which an employer can outsource employee management tasks, such as employee benefits, payroll and workers' compensation, recruiting, risk/safety management, and training and development. It does this by hiring a client company's employees, thus becoming their employer of record for tax purposes and insurance purposes. This practice is known as "int employment" or "co-employment." In the event that a client of ours thinks a PEO is right for their organization, don’t hesitate to contact us as we may be able to refer you to the right people.

In order to work with AlignHR,
do we have to sign or engage for a limited time commitment?

Again, the answer is NO. We offer a lot of flexible options for our clients and are confident that we have one that will work for you. In short, you name your commitment level, and we likely already have a solution for you.

If we work with AlignHR,
do we have to hand over our Benefits Administration and/or Payroll functions?

NO. With AlignHR, you have many options as to what level you engage with us. We can work for you a on a simple fix-priced project (i.e. compensation plan, survey, audit, investigation, etc.), we can advise on an as-needed consultative basis, or we can fully engage and act as your HR department while working strategically to help ensure that all of your HR processes and all of the individuals you hire are the right fit for your company’s vision, objectives and strategic plan (we call this our Managed HR Service). In the event that our Managed HR Service is the right product for you, you get to choose for which functions you give us the ability to work alongside with you.

Will AlignHR help us to find a provider for other services such as applicant tracking,
employment references, drug screenings, background checks,
absence management, expense tracking and/or HRIS?

Absolutely! At AlignHR we understand how important it is to trust in your vendors/providers fully, regardless of what service they provide to you. We also understand the bottom line. Thus, we have already done all of the hard work in vetting out the best of the best in these sectors (and more).  And that’s not all…some of the pricing negotiation has already taken place, too! Just ask us and we will be glad to make an introduction.

Who are ideal clients?

  • Micro, Small, and medium sized companies/organizations (for-profit and non-profit) who have NO dedicated or trained HR professional or if the HR function is handled by an administrative assistant, office manager, payroll clerk, Controller/CFO, an owner/CEO/President, and/ or split between many team members.
  • Employee Range:  Start-up businesses to 150 employees.
  • Supplement existing HR teams or single HR Manager Departments with HR project work or administrative support.

How many clients do you serve?

AlignHR serves 80 to 100 clients every month.  Average client size is 40 to 50 employees per entity (approx. 5,000 employees served directly and indirectly each month).
